Scalable Ruby on Rails application

Research24 October 2021

During my graduation project I investigated how a new version of Raemonda – an administrative package for financial service providers – could be developed with better scalability, maintainability and testability. This new version should better support large customers and improve the performance of the application.

As an activity for our student association during the Covid lockdowns we organized an IOT workshop where the participants would create a LED ring light. Measuring playground usage

Measuring playground usage

Research20 January 2021

Lasergame Rabbithunt

Lasergame Rabbithunt

Project26 May 2015

Together with my dorm room we came up with the idea to do a rabbithunt from our balcony. We have a large field behind our house and a balcony with great view of the field. The idea was to have several laser guns on the balcony that can shoot the “rabbits” down below. The “rabbits” are people wearing special vests, once they are shot a display increments the killcount of both the rabbit and the shooter. A price was given to the best shooter and the least shot rabbit.

Project11 July 2014

This installation, created for the Gogbot festival as part of the study Creative Technology at the University of Twente, is a mirror, but not a regular one. When you look into the mirror you don’t see yourself, your reflection is different. Your reflection will be how we think humans will look like when they move to mars and adapt to their environment.

Sequencer with MIDI output

Project5 February 2014

For a project Bouke Regnerus and I had to make an instrument, we came up with the idea to make a Sequencer capable of sending MIDI data to a MIDI player. This sequencer or launchpad can be used to play music files or act as a MIDI instrument. Using the custom software you can preview the currently playing sequence.
